Office Depot, a Fortune 500 company, announced recently that it has acquired
Office Depot China, one of the largest e-commerce enterprises, that provides
services and goods for offices in China. Both Office Depot and Office Depot
China will open Chinese office supplies market with new brand "Office
Depot" in the future. Office Depot has ambitious business plans in
Asia, having already established branches in both Japan and South Korea.
Office Depot, Inc. Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Delray Beach, Fla.,
has annual sales of nearly $15 billion, and employs approximately 50,000
associates around the world, offering products and services to 42 countries
and districts. As a Fortune 500 company, Office Depot is an industry leader
in every distribution channel, including stores, direct mail, contract delivery,
and the Internet and business-to-business electronic commerce. Office Depot
China was established in late-1999，headquartered in Beijing and has offices
in Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. Office Depot China's achievements
have been widely recognized by the public and has received numerous awards,
