Leading global retail giant Office Depot announced recently that it has
acquired Office Depot China, one of the largest e-commerce enterprises providing
services and goods for offices in China. Office Depot China is also Office
Depot's first investment in the country, aiming to become a testing pad
of the Chinese market. Company officials refused to release the transaction
figure of the deal. Office Depot is a Fortune 500 company with annual sales
of US$15 billion. Office Depot China was founded in 1999, and has offices
in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. |
